Sam Sorich
Director

Sam Sorich is an award-winning filmmaker and founder of Glass Darkly Films. He began his passion for filmmaking in 5th grade, filming skateboard videos with his best friend Dan, and home movies with his ten siblings.

After studying philosophy as an undergraduate, Sam worked as an editor and camera operator at Salt and Light Television in Toronto. He then returned to Chicago as a freelancer working closely with Spirit Juice Studios for many years.

In 2017, following the first Catholic Creatives Summit, Sam created and co-executive produced 8beats, an anthology series comprising eight short films inspired by the Beatitudes. In 2024, he completed his first feature documentary Things Hidden: The Life and Legacy of René Girard. He lives with his wife and two sons in Southern California and is an instructor of film production at John Paul the Great Catholic University.

Geoffrey Zokal
Writer and Producer

Geoffrey holds a B.A. in History from Eastern Illinois University where he joined the Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society, earned several university awards for his writings on Church history, and wrote and directed a full-length play on the life of Blessed Frederic Ozanam, the founder of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul.

Geoffrey went on to graduate from the University of Denver’s Publishing Institute where he focused on academic publishing. He also holds a Certificate in Grant Writing from DePaul University.

Geoffrey gained valuable film production experience while working as an associate producer and production coordinator at Spirit Juice Studios, a Catholic film studio based in Chicago. At Spirit Juice, Geoffrey helped to produce numerous videos for clients and served as an associate producer and researcher for the feature-length documentary film Heart of a Servant on the life of Father Edward Flanagan, founder of the non-profit Boys Town organization in Nebraska.

Geoffrey now works in the non-profit sector as a program coordinator for the Lumen Christi Institute, an organization affiliated with the University of Chicago which is dedicated to the development of Catholic intellectual life.

Andy Adames
Editor and Co-Producer

Andy is an Emmy award-winning producer known for his timeless perspective and artistic flair. In his extensive portfolio Andy has garnered awards as a director, director of photography, producer, editor, and composer while collaborating with a diverse array of clients. Fueled by genuine curiosity and an unwavering passion for excellence, he consistently delivers outstanding results. Andy is an artist at his core and has honed a unique, multifaceted approach during his nearly twenty year tenure in the industry.

Andy’s passion for music and film began in the 1980s with a walkman and weekly trips to a neighborhood corner store on the northwest side of Chicago to rent movies. He spent his early twenties as a gigging musician, often writing original music and exploring audio engineering to create a perfectly orchestrated sound. In 2009 Andy composed music for an award-winning pro-life short film and Sonic Palette was born.

Andy lives in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains in East Tennessee with his wife and two sons. When he’s not creating a visual masterpiece for a client you can find him looking through the viewfinder of a film camera, watching baseball, or building lego sets with his boys.
